2008 Shiner Bock Mock Draft

The BDFL News

Shiner Bock Mock Draft is another BDFL tradition

FOXBORO - Making it as a rookie in the BDFL may be the toughest thing to do in all of football. Not only does the BDFL draft rookies before they know which NFL team they are going to, but many rookies get dropped at the BDFL's Miller Genuine Draft before the season even starts. However, this is a cutting edge concept developed by Iron Hand, the Commissioner of the BDFL, and it provides great excitement and anticipation for the league and their fans. The Shiner Bock Mock Draft attempts to predict which rookies are worthy of a shot to make it in the BDFL as a rookie. According to our panel of experts, there should be plenty of talent to fill up this year's single round of picks.

Do not underestimate the power of the Pony

By Mel Kiper, Jr.

FOXBORO - Just like a smooth tasting Rolling Rock Beer, the BDFL's Rolling Rock Pony Draft can be very satisfying, especially when the fall rolls around. Just ask the Jugtown Juggernauts what Adrian Peterson meant to their team last fall. The Pony, as it is referred to by the draft insiders, is where a BDFL team can get better before the Genuine Draft ever takes place, but does take a little work and some keen insight. The key is in projecting a players value in the league for next season. Who will be this year's difference makers? What's Ryan's upside? Will McFadden go to the right system for him to flourish? Who will be the big surprises? These questions and others will take their first steps to being answered when the BDFL rolls out the red carpet the week of April 21st. So Pony Up! Get ready for another fun filled adventure known as the BDFL's Rolling Rock Pony Draft!

New rules for the 2008 Rolling Rock Pony Draft

FOXBORO - The 2008 Rolling Rock Pony Draft will start with each team submitting their top five picks in order. From this list the Commissioner, Iron Hand, will jump start the draft with at least five picks and hopefully more. If you do not submit your "Top 5" list by the deadline TBA, then you will be skipped from the entire draft and you can add a Pony once the draft is complete. If you submit your "Top 5" list and all five of your players are picked by your time in the draft you will be emailed and asked to select a player in a timely fashion that has not been selected. More information available on a need be basis.

Matt Ryan is projected to be the first QB to go in the 2008 BDFL Rolling Rock Pony Draft according to the 2008 Shiner Bock Mock Draft

THE BIG STORY

It's the Shiner Bock Mock Draft, time to see how the experts handicap the Pony

FOXBORO – The results are in and it looks to be an exciting ride this season for the Rolling Rock Pony Draft according to the draft media experts, who stepped up to predict the Ponies in the Shiner Bock Mock Draft. Running back Darren McFadden from Arkansas looks to be the sure fire pick at #1, but you never know if the Dogs will be a sleep at the wheel, or not, and with the new Pony draft rules, anything can happen. The Pony Draft will commence the week of April 20th, so stay tuned to thebdfl.com for the latest on the Pony Draft.
