The BDFL News

The regular season ends after Week 14

FOXBORO - In the new fangled, re-tooled BDFL this year, the regular season will end after Week 14 and the expanded Big Daddy Championship Series (BDCS) will begin with eight teams making the playoffs. The four division winners will qualify automatically and then the next best point leaders will round out the eight team field for a run at the Big Daddy Bowl and the BDFL Championship. Teams will be seeded 1-8 based on their point totals to assure the best teams are rewarded for their regular season performance. The Bullet Rule will apply meaning a 7-7 or greater record is required to make the playoffs.

THE BIG STORY

PowerSleds slay the Bullets in a battle of the BDFL's best in Week 9

SELMA TOWN - Steve Earle may have said it first back in 1986. "There's a speed trap up ahead in Selma Town, but no local yokel gonna shut me down" but it was the Fairfield PowerSleds who lived it twenty years later as they rolled over the Benton local yokel Rebels in Lowndes County on Sunday in a battle of the BDFL's heavyweights. As the Sleds left the Bullets flattened in the Black Belt, they left the league a message that the 2006 BDFL title must come through Fairfield.
