Slinging Lead
The Alabama Connection led by Kenyan Drake has the Bullets slinging some lead in the BDFL this season

Bullets plummet the Dorians on the Alabama

BENTON, AL - "Slinging lead" is how David killed Goliath back in the Old Testament. It’s also a term archeologists use for Zeus’ thunderbolt action. One piece of lead slung is called “a plummet.” Many pieces of lead slung is called "a barrage". "Slinging lead" also gets used as a verb, usually as a disparagement for a superficial shoot 'em up in a cowboy western. This usage is usually what we're talking about when it comes up in the BDFL. After the Dorians sank the Texas Armada in the Black Warrior in Week 11, they read their press clippings and were feeling good about themselves. So they decided to keep their Black Belt conquest going by steering their longships further west and south to the Tombigee and then back up north to the Alabama River for a surprise attack at Benton in Week 12. Not a bad battle plan at all, but what the Altadenians didn't know was that A.D.E.M. had a chopper, or two, in the air and John Lee Pettimore III had learned a thing, or two, from Charlie and Naut. The #51 Benton Beat Rebel Regiment (a.k.a. the Bullets) had some inside intel and were laying low in the thicket at Maull's Landing when the Dorians arrived. The Bullets commenced to "slinging lead" before the Dorians could even dock their boats. The end result was a massacre that the local Bentonites will be talking about forever down at the lodge and in the process, the Bullets (7-5) dodged their namesake "Bullet Rule" to become Big Daddy Championship Series (BDCS) eligible in 2018. Fieldstown Phantoms field the BDFL's "Undertaken"

AUDUBON - Sometimes it can be amazing the talent that gets left behind in the BDFL. Last season, Nick Foles won the Super Bowl MVP, but could not be found on a BDFL roster. This has been the Phantoms niche as the league's "fill-in" team in times of need. Here is the best unclaimed talent left out of the BDFL this season...
