Divide & Conquer
In Week 2, Big Ben Roethlisberger propelled the Altadena Dorians to their first vict'ry ever in the BDFL

Dorians return to their homeland for a vict'ry

GARDENDALE - In military and political warfare, it is nearly impossible to defeat a united front. However, one strategy that has been successful over time to defeat a powerful foe is the “divide and conquer” strategy. It has been used over the centuries to defeat empires, win political elections and rule nations. Develop strife and divisions within your enemy, then the resistance becomes weaker and your rate of success rises. The origins go back to the caveman days, but it was mastered by the Dorians in the Dark Ages (1200 – 800 B.C.) with their calculated conquest over what is now modern day Greece. All the great military and political leaders know how to implement the "D&C" strategy on their opponents. "Divide and conquer" comes from the Latin "dīvide et imperā" and it can still be used effectively today in politics, sociology and warfare to defeat and conquer your enemy. This is what happened to Jugtown this past weekend in the BDFL as the visiting Altadena Dorians returned to their homeland to dismantle the Juggernauts (38-18) without pulling a single sword. By pitting Fieldstown against Mt. Olive and Pineywood against Pinehurst, the Dorians with their brute show of force and keen political aptitude divided the entire community, overturned the election for a new city school system and returned the valuable assets back into the Jefferson County coffers. BDFL News

Only one initial and one last name in the BDFL

TITLETOWN - They call it your last name for a reason. Jim Croce said it best in 1973. In the BDFL we have always adhered to the "less is more" principle. This is why we don't recognize hyphenated last names and first names when it comes to players and how they are tracked in the BDFL. On a rare occasion, when we have two skill players on the same NFL team, we use their first initial like V.Jackson/TB and D.Jackson/TB last season. JuJu Smith-Schuster is just plain Schuster/PIT in the BDFL.
