Cataclysmic
The ageless Adrian Peterson has been a big boost to the Southside Cheetahs this season in the BDFL

Cheetahs win big in the BDFL's annual catfight

NEWBURYPORT, MA - The word "cataclysmic" is an adjective derived from the noun "cataclysm" which by most all accounts is not a very good thing. A "cataclysm" has been described as "any violent upheaval of social, or political nature" to "a violent physical action producing a change in the earth's surface such a flood, deluge, or tsunami". In other words, a disaster. This BDFL season hasn't been a total disaster, but rather a tale of two cats headed in two different directions. In one corner you have the four-time BDFL champions (Southside Cheetahs now standing at 7-1) who lately have been hotter than a three-dollar pistol. The speedy felines have averaged over 34 points per game on the season and look to be hard to catch in the highly competitive Graybeard Division. In the other corner, you have last year's BDFL champions (Western Hills Wildcats now standing at 4-4) who are struggling to defend their first title. The wondering roamers have now lost three in a row and are in a free-fall in the anemic Yellowhammer Division. The BioCats have averaged just under 12 points per game over the last three weeks and can't seem to find the right formula for vict'ry. So when these two opposite cats tangled in Week 8 in the BDFL's annual catfight, the Cheetahs scratched out the Wildcats' eyeballs, 45-15, in a cataclysmic defeat. The locals may be celebrating this week in the streets of Boston, but it's not over the Mildcats. The BDFL's take on the new Alliance of American Football

TITLETOWN - The BDFL is an original. You can't say that about the new Alliance of American Football (AAF) that will begin play in February of 2019. Iron Hand, The Commissioner of the BDFL, named the Birmingham team after is own namesake. Just check the tweets prior to the announcement. The AAF also robbed two nicknames from the old USFL with "Stallions" and "Express" which was a good thing since their own... "Fleet, "Apollos","Legends","Hotshots" and "Commanders" were weak. We could have helped more, but never got the call.
