Gamblers roll the dice

 Tumblin' Dice

Front office changes designed to get results

MOBILE - The Real Deal has stepped back as GM and will now be the Jerry Jones of the BDFL. Frank (Chan) Hand has been brought in to resurrect the Gamblers dynasty. Hand  followed the Gambino's game plan perfectly at the 2004 BDFL Genuine Draft and both seem to be on the same page for now. Art Cantrelle will remain the head coach in 2004, but the Gambino family has made it widely known that this could be his last with the organization. Replacement speculation rumors are already sweeping the Gulf Coast area with Reggie Collier, John Bond, Kent Austin, John Fourcade and Randy Breal getting most of the talk around the water coolers.

Quality and depth at the receiver position

MOBILE - The Gamblers have the best group of receivers in the league on paper.  Marvin Harrison/IND is a perennial All-BDFL performer, while Derrick Mason/TEN made the All-BDFL Preseason 2nd Team in 2004. Rounding out the starting line-up of receivers is Jimmy Smith/JAX who has made the All-BDFL team before. Bobby Engram/SEA and Parker/SD are more than suitable back-ups and both would start for most teams in the league. Look for the Gamblers quality receiving corps to win some close games for the Dealers this season.

The Gamblers took a few chances in the draft hoping to come up big in the end

MOBILE - Never one to sit back and wait, the Gambino and his Dixie Mafia rolled the dice at the 2004 BDFL Genuine Draft with the idea of dancing in the Mardi Gras parade with another Big Daddy trophy in tow. Loaded at receiver and with two quality kickers, the Coasters season hinges on a healthy and productive Garcia at QB and Deuce getting wild in the Big Easy. However, it won't be so easy in the rugged Red Neck Division this season, but with a legitimate ace in the hole (Ontario Smith) the Gamblers could be the class of the Riviera.

The Gamblers may be in deep water this season if Deuce can't get loose in the Big Easy
