Mayors helms and unies get a face lift

MAGIC CITY - This season has brought a new slicker look to the Cronies. Team colors are now Ebony, Sky Blue (Where the skies are so blue) and White. Gone is yellow and the bright wide yellow streak down the back of the Mayors uniforms. It may still be there, but just not on the uniforms. The new unies favor those of the Tennessee Titans and the North Carolina Tar Heels.

New roles in old holes:

The Mayors 2004 replacement draft strategy

MAGIC CITY - This year the Mayors went with the new and improve patented replacement draft strategy. Their strategy was to draft unproven BDFL players that are filing new roles in old holes. The Cronies are banking on big numbers from Rudy's new role in Cincy as the feature back and Chris Brown in Tennessee filing Eddie George's big shoes. Beyond the draft strategy, McNown is a true sleeper behind McNair with a big upside but the receiving corps is nothing to write home about. However, if the Mayors RB draft strategy does payoff, look for the BDFL's 2004 Vict'ry Parade to start in Pratt City and end in Ketona.

The Mayors are counting on big Steve "Air" McNair to air it out in 2004 and return the Mayors back to their championship form

The Mayors have sights set on returning to their 2002 election year championship campaign

FAIR PARK - The Mayors have been lobbying hard to get the nomination for another BDFL championship. However, the BDFL title isn't based on a nomination, vote, or a popularity contest. It must be earned. So once the season starts the Mayors must turn their attention to scoring points and defeating opponents to return to their 2002 championship ways. Leading delegates such as Steve "Air" McNair, Adam Vinatieri and Rudy Johnson must all have big years if the Mayors are to move up in the crucial 2004 BDFL straw polls.
