Dogs first to announce their Week #1 starters

BROOKSIDE -  Eager to get their new Dog & Pony Show on the road, the Dogs were the first team in team in the BDFL to announce their starters for Week #1. The Dogs have the potential to go wire-to-wire in the unproven Yellow Hammer Division, but they'll need a good start out of the blocks. Listed below is a pretty impressive starting line-up for the 2004 Dogs.

The Portis Prediction

BROOKSIDE -  In Washington, new/old coach Gibbs has made a pretty good living with the one back offense. See John Riggins and Lombardi Trophies for proof. Portis will be the feature back in the Gibbbs system, but will there be enough talent at the other positions for real success? Hey wait a minute this is the BDFL, who cares. As long as Clinton gets his touches look for him to put up excellent numbers for the Dogs all season long. Portis was a steal in the draft for the Dogs who got a ton of value with the fifth pick overall in the 2004 BDFL Genuine Draft.

Clinton Portis must be the "top dog" for the Brookside Dogs to contend for the 2004 BDFL title

"Who let the Dogs out" may be the cry from opponents throughout the BDFL in 2004

BROOKSIDE - With Clinton Portis, Trent Green and Tory Holt, the Brookside Dogs have the nucleus of a championship team. The problem is nucleuses don't win titles, points do. So if the Hounds can get solid point production from other top players(Martin, Burress, Winslow, Stover, etc.), the Dogs could be running wild across Five Mile Creek, down Goose Alley up Church Street and all through the streets of Brookside after celebrating a vict'ry in the Big Daddy Bowl at season's end. The Brookside VFW is so optimistic that they are already making plans for the big parade.
