Bullets or Showboats?

 The Plain Bull

Bullets load up on RBs and not much else at the recent 2004 BDFL Genuine Draft

BENTON - Dierks Bentley said it best when talking about his experience with Becky down in South Alabama..."What was I thinking" and this applies to Bullets unconventional "all RB draft". What was he thinking? I guess we'll all see when the season starts.

Bullets assistant coaches are named
BENTON - Head coach Preston Gothard recently announced his assistant coaches for the 2004 season. Gothard also announced that these jobs are always on the firing line so to speak...

> Offensive Coordinator - Jon Causey (LA, UA)

> Defensive Coordinator - George Teague (JD, UA, grew up near the Montgomery Airport - 3 miles from Lowndes Co.)

Bullet tries to generate some fan interest from the Montgomery faithful to gauge their support to return to the Capital City for a game in 2004

Bullets explore new game venues in the Black Belt for the 2004 home schedule

MONTGOMERY - The Bullets may play one or more games at newly refurbished Crampton Bowl this year. (New Artificial Turf) or Cloverdale Jr. High School's new field where the Division III Huntingdon Hawks, under 1st year coach, Mike Turk (JD '82, TSU '87) will play their home games in 2004. It's on Fairview Ave., near Bullet's old digs. The Bullets will do anything for publicity to draw in the Black Belt. Just take a recent Montgomery Biscuits minor league baseball game where Bullet acted a fool in attempt to generate public support for a game in the Capital City. The big question is...Are the Bullets getting too big for their britches in Lowndes County, or just wanting to showboat down the Alabama River for more much needed air time?
