Fighting Slovaks will also be known as the Helena Hellions

HELENA - The Hellions as they are know in their native Slovakia are owned by Adam Ray Slovensky. They derived their name from the Slovaks thousands of years of struggle for independence and are based in Adam's hometown of Helena. Their colors are red, white and blue and will don copper helmets in tribute to the copper mining heritage from their native home. The Slovaks logo comes from the Slovak Republic flag and their national symbol. The Slovaks will compete in the Green Horn Division where they are sure to be the BDFL's greenest team for quite a while.

Hellions draft watered down version of Slovak

HELENA - When you're owned by a Slovak and coached by a Slovak, you desperately search for a Slovak player to draft, but what do you do when one isn't available? You do the next best thing and draft a watered down version of Slovak, the Pollak. So with a middle round pick the Hellions selected kicker Sebastian Janikowski from Poland.

The Fighting Slovaks invade the BDFL

HELENA - Just when you thought it was safe to go to a Slovak town in a small boro in Alabama on the Fourth of July, the independent Slovak Republic sends in the reinforcements in the form of the Helena Fighting Slovaks to the BDFL. Owned by a Slovak and coached by Slovak, this new BDFL expansion team is sure to add a little international flavor to the BDFL's bland Green Horn Division.

The Helena Fighting Slovaks will try to fight their way to the top of the BDFL in their first year.
