 Report

Grenades show some pop and muscle in Week 1 at George Ward Memorial
GREEN SPRINGS - Going deep has never been easier as the Grenades got great results from their new microwaved balls and titanium bats to overpower the Sleds 40-9. The Brady Bunch (TO, Alexander and Brady) dialed "8" often and deep enough to jump out to the BDFL's best week in Week 1. Watch out for the dynamic trio this year as the Bomb Squad sets their sights on bringing the first BDFL title to Green Springs.

Grenades bench a strength in 2004

GREEN SPRINGS - The 2004 Genuine Draft was a masterpiece for the Grenades. They got the top running back, quarterback and receiver on their board. The kicker was also highly thought of and their other starters were highly ranked and hand picked. However, the strength of this team/draft may lie in the Grenades bench where unknowns such as Foster, Looker, McCareins, Graham and Wright may be big contributors before the season ends. Mix in the veterans such as Gannon the Cannon, Mike Alstott and Garrison Hearst and you may have the right chemistry to bring the first BDFL title back to Green Springs.

The Grenades plan to ride Shaun Alexander to their first BDFL title in 2004

The wait is finally over, Alexander is a Grenade!

GREEN SPRINGS - The Grenades finally got their wish...Shaun Alexander in a green jersey and coaching shorts at George Ward. The Grenade Brigade didn't stop with the super-duper star-studded Alexander. They added Billy Badass (Brady) and Johnny Cockstud (Owens) in the next two rounds of the 2004 Genuine Draft and rounded out their backfield with the perfect cleanup man in Buck (Alstott) with their fourth pick. Look for the fall season at GWM to be filed with line drive shots over the 200 ft. walls on Field 4 and their opponents to be weak in the knees.
