THE BIG STORY

With a must win in Week 14 the Mayors may be on a real life Jailbreak thru the BDCS

FAIR PARK – Thin Lizzy said it best in 1976 with their AOR classic titled Jailbreak. "Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak" and that is what the federally indicted Mayors hope to be on throughout the BDCS. With their convincing win over the Slothsters, the Mayors are now out of prison and on the prowl to capture their 2nd BDFL title. The Mayors beat the Wizards in the 2002 Big Daddy Bowl, commonly referred to as the Dan Reaves Bonehead Bowl for their first BDFL title. As the black Irishman Phil Lynott and the Boys penned way back when..."Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak somewhere in the town, so don't you be around. Tonight there's gonna be trouble, some of us won't survive. See the boys and me we mean business." The rest of the BDFL is on Red Alert!

With a huge win in Week 14 and the help of Steiger Supplemental Draft pick Jamaal Charles, the Mayors have put the BDFL on red alert for the BDCS

The Big Daddy Championship Series

Who will win the 2009 Big Daddy Bowl and the coveted Grand Daddy trophy from the BDCS Elite Eight?

Below are the Elite Eight who have earned the right to compete in the Big Daddy Championship Series for the 2009 BDFL title and the coveted Grand Daddy that accompanies the title. This year Carling has stepped up to be the presenting sponsor of the BDCS. Carling started in 1818 when Thomas Carling moved to the rich farmlands of eastern Canada, now London, Ontario. During his first year Carling cleared a small area. According to custom, neighbors helped at a "stumping bee" by bringing their oxen and tools to help clear the land. All they asked were to be refreshed. Carling refreshed with his home brewed ale that became a hit at all area stumping bees, so popular he abandoned farming for brewing. Carling is in the pool scene of the rock classic flick "Almost Famous" and Carling is ordered in "Animal House" when the Delta House boys visit the Otis Day & The Knights nightclub with their so called dates.
