The BDFL News
The history of the BDFL
Bonnets revealed
FOXBORO - Ever wonder
where Iron Hand, The Commissioner of the BDFL, ever came up with the
team's nicknames, colors, logos and helmet designs? If so, thebdfl.com's
BDFL Bonnets
page has been updated to
give you the details behind each team's creative creation. Here is a
example:
Silver Lakes Sloth
Monsters - Blue
is used as the color of water of Lake Cyrus, Silver Lakes and Loch Ness
bodies of water where Sloth Monsters have been known to roam. Green is used
to represent the foliage and natural habitat of the tree hanging
three-toed sloth. Sloths also often appear green due to algae that grows
on them. The footprint logo shows their large curved claws used to keep
a strong grip on tree branches. For more information on all the league's
teams helmet designs and more

The explosive Michael Turner
"The Burner" is leaning towards being the first draft choice in
the 2009 Miller Genuine Draft set for Saturday, August 29th in
Vestavia Hills, AL |
The BDFL's annual
Miller Genuine Draft is set for Saturday, August 29 at 6pm
VESTAVIA HILLS -
Iron Hand, the only Commissioner the BDFL has known in its 15
years of existence, announced today that the 15th annual Miller
Genuine Draft will be held at the home of the Magic City Mayors
on Saturday, August 29 at 6pm. All 16 teams members have been
confirmed to be represented at the draft in some form except for
the North Canton Bootleggers who are still on the disabled list
due to spinal surgery. The Commissioner also confirmed that a
golf tournament will be held on Saturday, August 29th in
conjunction with the draft. Top players sure to hear their names
called early at the draft include Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, LaDainian Tomlinson, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Adrian Peterson,
DeAngelo Williams, Michael Turner, Willie Parker, Matt Cassel
and Chad Johnson, Matt Ryan and Jay Cutler.

The 2009 Shiner
Bock Mock Draft
Adrian Peterson
projects as the top draft choice in the 2009 Shiner Bock Mock
Draft
SHINER,
TX
– Here in Lavaca County, life is laid back and the beer is fresh
and smooth since Shiner Bock, a dark Slovak style beer that is
distributed all over the world, is brewed down here at the
Spoetzl Brewery, the oldest independent brewery in Texas. For
these reasons, the BDFL media experts gather here each year for
their annual sabbatical to drink beer, relax and sift through
who they think will be the top picks for the upcoming BDFL
Genuine Draft in late August. After a good long week in
southeast Texas soaking up the rays and downing dark Slovak
beer, these media experts have come up with the top 32 players
for the BDFL draft. For more details and to see the top 32 picks
