Peyton Manning was masterful Monday Night in one of the Cheetahs patented come from behind vict'ries against the Wildcats in Week 2

THE BIG STORY

Cheetahs get some Monday Night Football mojo to finish on top in the Bordello Bowl

RIVERCHASE - Trailing 32-20 going into the Monday Night Football game, the home standing Cheetahs had been rolled out like wholesale carpet by the Rocky Ridge Wildcats in the first ever Bordello Bowl. However, like most professionals who get paid in the end and in other places as well, the Cheetahs got up off the mat to take a double shot of mojo from their own wildcat Ronnie Brown and the magical Peyton Manning to rack up 21 unanswered points to finish on top of the stunned Stone Cats with a 41-32 vict'ry. The James Gang still doesn't know what hit them as they left the notorious Riverchase Cathouse with an empty wallet, bloodshot eyes and a headache hangover that could last at least a few more weeks. Anybody up for a two for one?

The 2009 RICKA Rule transitions

Teams make last roster moves until the 2009 Steiger Supplemental Draft coming after Week 8 games

FOXBORO - RICKA stands for Released, Injured, Cut, Kicked-Off, or Arrested. If any player drafted falls within these parameters as deemed by Iron Hand, the Commissioner of the BDFL, then teams can drop that player and replace him with an undrafted player. Teams had to make their RICKA moves through the league office via email before the weekly starter deadline for Week 2 game action. All RICKA Rule transactions are handled on a first come first serve basis. The RICKA Rule was instituted in the early days of the BDFL to make provisions for unforeseen events that take place after draft day, such as Tom Brady's injury last season in Week 1, or Lawrence Phillips being cut in 1997. Ricky Williams, pictured above with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts, is the poster child and the official international spokesperson for the annual RICKA Rule.

The BDFL News

The 2009 Steiger  Supplemental Draft

The BDFL's 2009 annual Steiger Supplemental Draft will start on Tuesday, November 3rd after all Week 8 games. The two round email draft allows each team to drop two non-productive players and add two more players not originally drafted in the Miller Genuine Draft and not currently on any BDFL team roster. The draft order is from last place to first place for both rounds and the draft is designed to help struggling teams close the talent gap for the remaining nine games of the year. Last year's best pick up in the Sup Draft was former Bama fullback. now Baltimore Ravens running back LeRon McClain/BAL who was selected by the Druid City Blitz. There is always a few prizes to emerge in this mid-season draft.
