Texans mash the Broncos as Halloween season creates a "Monster" performance
BROOKSIDE - In a prelude to the Eve of All Saints Day at St. Michael’s Cemetery, the Monsters devoured the Dogs 57-31 in the "Massacre on Chigger Hill”. The slick amphibians dressed in their Dallas Texans throwbacks swam slowly upstream from Silver Lakes along various Jefferson County tributaries with the last leg being the long winding Five Mile Creek. When the Sloths finally arrived in Brookside they headed straight to the cemetery on Chigger Hill to challenge the Brookside Parole Board, dressed in their brown and gold Denver Broncos vintage unies, to an egg eating contest a la Cool Hand Luke. However, like most all Halloween season related events in Brookside from the 1960s, the Monsters started launching eggs at the Dogs with their three-toed paws until the Dogs finally tucked their tales and ran back down to the other side of the tracks.

The 2009 Steiger Supplemental Draft
The BDFL's
2009 annual Steiger Supplemental Draft
will start on Tuesday, November 3rd after all Week 8 games have been
played. The two round email draft allows each team to drop two
non-productive players and add two more players not currently on any BDFL team roster.
The draft order is from last place to first place for both rounds and
the draft is designed to help struggling teams close the talent gap for
the remaining nine games of the year. Last year's best pick up in the
Supplemental Draft was former Bama fullback, now Baltimore Ravens running back LeRon McClain/BAL who was selected by the Druid City Blitz. There is
always a few prized gems to emerge in this mid-season annual draft.
