Sloths annexed in to Helena |
The Monster Mash An inside look at the BDFL's Silver Lakes Sloth Monsters by Mike "Mukes" Dismukes
Sloths making changes at the top as a true Sloth Monster, Harry Hammond comes in to take over the head coaching reins SILVER LAKES - The Sloths have hired a new coach and are looking for a change of direction in the upcoming season. When the deal fell through to hire Mike Price away from The Cheetahs the obvious candidate was Harry "Big Daddy" Hammond. We are not sure of the new game plan but can assure everyone none on our team will be sober. Rumor has it David Valletto will be the new GM and in charge of player selection. EVERYONE CAN REST ASSURED THE SLOTHS OWNER WILL NOT BE SOBER THIS DRAFT.
Mascot and new battle cry come from a Livingston Saturday Night HELENA - Keeping with the Jimmy Buffet theme, the new mascot for the Sloths is a Ford Granada covered in hay and mud with a canoe strapped on top. The new team battle cry, not to be confused with the team song is from the poet Big Albert Lee Reeves Jr. "Musta Been Somebody Else". Suburban legend has it that Mr. Buffet wrote Livingston Saturday Night after a long conversation with a Livingston football player at a local watering hole after the young lad poet had shared his strange set of circumstances surrounding a proverbial Livingston Saturday night.

THE BIG STORY Silver Lakes is annexed bringing the Monsters BDFL title to Helena SILVER LAKES - Being apart of The BDFL ownership has it's privileges. After many e-mails and bottles of whiskey with The Goodfella of Helena, or The Adam, as he is called in Helena, the Silver Lakes Sloth Monsters have been annexed into the city of Helena giving the city a BDFL championship. This is assured to be the only way a BDFL was ever going to get to Helena. This brings the BDFL's total to two teams to the Shelby County metropolis. Rumors of the Fighting Slovaks relocating to Oak Mountain for a new stadium deal have not yet been substantiated. |
