THE BIG STORY
Laurence Maroney is out to prove he's an all beef frank and not all baloney
MAGIC CITY - Coming out early for the NFL Draft was a big decision for this junior. However, it shouldn't have been. The truth is, Maroney was ready a year ago after shredding the Crimson Tide in the 2005 Music City Bowl in Nashville. Now Maroney is ready to shred NFL defenses the same way he did for Coach Glen Mason at Minnesota. Maroney is a great fit in New England and because of their lack of depth, could see some significant playing time even with a healthy Corey Dillon. If Dillon is unhealthy, Maroney to help lead the Patriots and the Mayors to another title crown.
