2020 Pony Draft pick Jonathan Taylor help lead the PowerSleds to the 2020 BDFL title

The PowerSleds hit their stride again

ARLINGTON, TX - Championships do not grow on trees, they must be earned. Dynasties are not built overnight, but over time. The Fairfield PowerSleds have always had the right pedigree to earn a championship and they have now built the best dynasty in the BDFL. The Mean Machine's 2020 BDFL Championship Title run was calculated. It began back in April of 2020 when they selected a stud running back in Jonathan Taylor from the University of Wisconsin in the BDFL's annual Pony Draft. Taylor would later be selected by the Indianapolis Colts of the NFL to jumpstart the PowerSleds 2020 equine connection. The PowerSleds then cleared the Indy defense in the BDFL's annual Progressive Priority Draft (PPD) in August of 2020. The Sleds would add another thoroughbred with the Colts rookie placekicker, Rodrigo Blankenship, in Week 1 using the BDFL's patented RICKA Rule. They would complete the Fairfield "Four Horsemen" with wide receiver Michael Pittman in Week 12 using the BDFL's Waiver Wire Week. All told, the PowerSleds finished the season with a league-leading 571 total points for an impressive average of 34 points per game. Remarkably, the Sleds "Horse Power" unit accounted for close to 45% of their 2020 point total. Plus, it didn't hurt to have the 2020 Big Daddy of the Year, Aaron Rodgers, at the helm barking out the signals and making plays. Averaging 50 points per week over the last four weeks of the season, the Sleds hit their stride once again to scorch the Fieldstown Bellcows in Big Daddy Bowl XIX (56-22) and toast the rest of the field on the way to a record fifth BDFL Championship Title, surpassing the Riverchase/Southside Cheetahs who they were tied with at four BDFL titles apiece. There is solid satisfaction seeing the best team win the BDFL Championship Title and this has now happened for the second year in a row. Congratulations to the PowerSleds, the 2020 BDFL Champions! BDFL NEWS
2020
2020 was a challenge, but the BDFL endured and put together a season to remember

The coronavirus couldn't stop the BDFL

TITLETOWN - What a train wreck 2020 has been. I'm glad it is over, but I think it will always be remembered. Yes, for the coronavirus, social distancing, quarantines, masks, protests, riots, senseless looting, a controversial presidential election and other things we never dreamed possible, like a toilet tissue shortage, but I think eventually, 2020 will be viewed as a lesson well learned. A lesson to all, to value life more. Value those you love more and appreciate the many things you took for granted prior to 2020. Value a place to worship, a place to go see a ball game, a place to have a nice meal, a nice trip, holidays and the freedoms we are afforded in this great country. No, it's not a perfect world and we have a ton of improvements to work towards, but I'm more thankful now for what we do have rather than than worry about what we don't have. And now we have 26 BDFL single-season champions with BDFL titles and the Fairfield PowerSleds lead the pack with five individual titles. Congratulations to the BDFL's original Mean Machine!
