2009 BDFL Schedule
The BDFL's 14 week regular season is a balanced schedule with every team playing every other team in the league except one. Divisional match-ups are important because you only get one shot at your most hated rivals, but the balanced schedule gives every team the same chance to be successful within their own division. Then there are three weeks of intense playoff action culminating with the annual Big Daddy Bowl for all the marbles to crown the 2009 BDFL Champions!

The BDFL's playoff qualifications revisited for clarity
FOXBORO - The BDFL's Big Daddy Championship Series (BDCS) is all about rewarding the league's best teams with a chance to advance to the Big Daddy Bowl and play for the league's title. Teams must have at least a 7-7 win/loss record after Week 14 and be leading their division to qualify for playoffs. Teams must win their division outright to automatically be assured of a playoff birth regardless of record. There will be no automatic reward for a team that does not meet these two criteria, 1) At least a 7-7 win/loss record and 2) Win their division outright. If there is no outright clear division champion, the BDFL reserves the right to award a playoff position to another team regardless of their division based on their win-loss record and point total after Week 14. The BDFL will not reward mediocrity by default. At least seven wins and then most points will determine the other four wildcard playoff spots regardless of division. The BDFL reserves the right to change the schedule late in the season to assure eight teams make up the BDCS.
