The BDCS News
Famous for fueling Animal House, Carling is now the official beer of the BDCS
FOXBORO - This year Carling has stepped up to be the presenting sponsor of the BDCS. Carling started in 1818 when Thomas Carling moved to the rich farmlands of eastern Canada, now London, Ontario. During his first year Carling cleared a small area. According to custom, neighbors helped at a "stumping bee" by bringing their oxen and tools to help clear the land. All they asked were to be refreshed. Carling refreshed with his home brewed ale that became a hit at all area stumping bees, so popular he abandoned farming for brewing. Carling in the pool scene of the classic rock-n-roll flick "Almost Famous" and Carling is ordered in "Animal House" when the Delta House boys visit the Otis Day & The Knights nightclub with their so called dates.
