Bad to the Bone
Josh Allen has been "Bad to the Bone" this season for the league-leading Dogs

The Dogs win the Battle of the Creeks

BLACK CREEK - "Bad to the Bone" is a song by George Thorogood and The Destroyers released in 1982 on the album of the same name. It is considered one of the most “badass” rock songs ever recorded. While it was not widely popular during its initial release, the song made its mark with tons of video play on the then new cable channel Music Television better know as MTV which debuted in 1981. The video was an instant classic featuring a live performance of the song intermingled with a young Thorogood playing a lengthy game of pool with Blues legend Bo Diddley while billiards icon Willie Mosconi observed the match. Licensing for films, television shows and commercials has since made the song even more popular over the years. The song was used in The Color of Money, Lethal Weapon, Bull Durham and Joe Dirt just to name four of the 27 movies where the song is played. It was also the walk-up at bat song of former major league baseball sluggers Jay Buhner and Ryan Klesko. The song is quite humorous and features an unforgettable stuttering chorus. It is George Thorogood's signature song. In the BDFL this season, the Brookside Dogs have been "Bad to the Bone". With a 9-1 record and 357 total points, the Dogs are the class of the league in 2019. In Week 10, the Dogs destroyed the Freebirds 45-32 in the Battle of the Creeks/Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Classic Game presented by the Alabama Poarch Band of Creek Indians at Black Creek Park. BDFL NEWS

Waiver Wire Week after Week 11

TITLETOWN - After Week 11 action, the BDFL will give all teams one "last chance" to improve their 2019 roster with the annual Waiver Wire Week. Unlike the Supplemental Draft which runs in an orderly fashion, this process is an email "free-for-all" beginning at 11pm on Monday night following the last NFL game of Week #11. In other words, this will be an unrestricted "name it and claim it" type event in which all teams may partake on a first-come, first-serve basis. This is your proverbial "last chance" scramble to improve your roster by one player for the remainder of the 2019 BDFL season. Mark your Outlook calendar now as a reminder to take advantage of this last opportunity to get better.
