Blitz bops the Sleds in a lightning war

DRUID CITY - "Blitzkrieg Bop" is a 1976 song by the American punk rock band the Ramones which is considered one of the best punk rock songs of all-time by the music critics including Iron Hand. It was recorded in January, released as the band's debut single in February and it appeared as the opening track of the band's debut album entitled Ramones in April of the same year. The song's composition is credited to the band as a whole, but it was written by drummer Thomas Erdelyi known as Tommy Ramone and bassist Douglas Glenn Colvin known as Dee Dee Ramone. Based on a simple three-chord pattern, "Blitzkrieg Bop" opens with the classic chant "Hey! Ho! Let's Go!" The song is now popular at many sporting events where "Hey! Ho! Let's Go!" is shouted by fans as a rallying cry including at the NHL's Nashville Predators games and when the BDFL's Druid City Blitz runs out of the tunnel with the LED lights flashing at Bryant-Denny Stadium (BDS). "Blitzkrieg Bop" is #92 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All-Time. United Kingdom's Q magazine placed it at #31 on its list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Tracks and Rolling Stone has it at #18 on their list of the Top 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All-Time. In 2009 it was named the 25th greatest hard rock song of all-time by VH1. "Blitzkrieg Bop" was named after the German World War II tactic "blitzkrieg" which means "lightning war". The song was originally called "Animal Hop" and the Ramones came up with the enduring chant while walking home from the grocery store, carrying a bag of groceries. The "Hey! Ho! Let's Go!" line comes from "High hose nipped her toes" from the song "Walking The Dog" by Rufus Thomas. In Week 9 of the BDFL, the suddenly resurgent Druid City Blitz bopped the Fairfield PowerSleds 42-19 at BDS in what we hope is a precursor to "The Game of the Century - Part II" on Saturday, November 9, 2019 for the Crimson Tide. The Ol' Proverbial Pucker Factor Poll

NORTH CORBIN, KY - This is where Kentucky Fried Chicken was founded and it his now home to the BDFL's infamous Pucker Factor Poll (PFP). The PFP doesn't apply to all the teams in the BDFL. At this point of the season, some teams will be able to coast to the BDCS playoffs while others are already out of it altogether. However, the PFP does apply to a select bunch of teams in the middle that are on the proverbial pot. The poll is neither subjective, nor objective, but it does go by an intricate win-loss-points secret formula that is more complex than Colonel Harland Sanders' Kentucky Fried Chicken famous recipe of 11 herbs and spices. So don't try to figure all this out at home, just know that it is 100% accurate.
