The
Graybeard Glory Grows
TITLETOWN – When the chips are down, the cream always rises to the top. In the BDFL, more times than not, that cream is from the Gray Beard Division. In 18 years of competition, the Graybeards have won half (9 of 18) of the BDFL titles. They are assured of winning another one this season when the Cheetahs battle the PowerSleds in Big Daddy Bowl XII. Plus the Mayors from the GBD, will be battling the Woosiers for Big Mullet Series (BMS) championship. The Gray Beard Division is easily the league’s toughest division year-in and year-out. It is the only division with four original BDFL teams and it is commonly referred to as the “senior” circuit among the BDFL’s media pundits. Consisting of the league’s most seasoned and savvy members, it’s easy to see why the Graybeards have dominated the BDFL over the years and earned the glory which has been bestowed upon them. |
