Are The Mean Machine GLEN OAKS – Back in the day when they were roommates at Alabama in a two-story duplex on 12th Street in Tuscaloosa just behind Tutwiler Hall, Jack and Jerry always had some interesting characters hanging around their crib. Whether it was the famous Squeaky Fuller, the outpatient from the local Partlow Developmental Center, or Bufu, the psycho former Bama football player that lived below them, or my personal favorite Tommy "Guns" Walburn, who was a third roommate for about a month and was always doing curls and asking me, "My arms are pretty big for my size, huh?" It was always a great stop for me either between classes, or after a workout at the Natatorium, just to catch up, listen to music, raid their fridge and just hang out because you really never knew what you might get.
