WEEK 4 - SCOREBOARD EXPLOSION

The Black Warrior Rivers

With Alabama native Philip Rivers at the helm, the Tribe is drifting through the BDFL like the Spanish Armada

BLACK CREEK - As a small tributary in North Jefferson County, Black Creek flows northeast from Fultondale towards New Castle and on to Bradford, Trafford and Locust Fork in Blount County where it dumps into the Locust Fork portion of the Black Warrior River. The Black Warrior River flows southwest until it reaches the Tombigee River and the Tombigee flows into Mobile Bay and then into the Gulf of Mexico. At 6'5" and 228 lbs., Philip Rivers is a mountain of a man from Athens, AL. Overlooked by Alabama and Auburn in high school because of his unorthodox throwing motion, the Tennessee Valley gunslinger went on to a stellar career at North Carolina State breaking many of Roman Gabriel's passing records. This season Rivers is the chieftain of the Wooden Warriors and he knows the words and meaning of Alabama's Tennessee River.

Chief Rivers has been chunken 'em long for the Warriors this season

Fast forward 25 years and welcome to football's future

MEGAMARKET - In Week 5 the BDFL will show the world the future of American tackle football with their annual Throwback Week. The players will be bigger and faster. Stadium will be larger and more interactive. The Global Football League will field teams in the biggest markets on the planet. Equipment will be lighter and safer and the rules will protect players from serious injury. Teams will be owed by the state, individuals, or the public. 60 man rosters, 18 week schedules, an off month and four point field goals from 50 yards or more, will be just some of the innovations as the game grows new roots and longer branches.
