Juggernauts vs. Bullets

Allyson’s “Little Brown Jugs” will think they’ve found a kindred spirit, literally, when the head up Copperhead Road to take on the Bullets, but will find the faithful praisin’ the Lord, passin’ the ammunition and setting their sites squarely on the visitors.

Bandits v. Mayors

The Wizard is not sure of the difference between a bandit and a politician but strongly suspects it’s similar to that of a hamster and a gerbil. Exit polls show the Mayors as the favorite but Barry’s “fortunate sons” will carry the day.

Sloth Monsters v. PowerSleds

Jack Barnes’ notoriously tender ham gave away completely in a Week 6 meltdown, but the Great Wizardo says rest, relaxation & a visit from the “Lake Cyrus Limb Loungers” is the perfect cure for what ails them.

Vulcans v. Grenades

Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick and the “Bama Hammers” take on Uncle Chris and the “Lead Booted Iron Men” on Sunday afternoon with ELVO laying 2.5 on the home team. And for once the Wiz agrees.

Freebirds vs. Cheetahs

The “Riverchase Chia Pets” host Jaimie Hand’s “Fabulous Free Turds” in an inter-divisional matchup between a pair of teams trying to remain relevant in the BDFL championship banter. So much so The Wiz sees this as a “Thunderdome match” where two men enter and only one leaves with the Cheetahs reprising the role of Mel Gibson.

Dogs v. Bellcows

The Wizard recalls a story where two bulls were standing on hill gazing at a pasture full of cows. The young bull said, “Let’s run down and have our way with one of those cows!” to which the old bull replied, “Why don’t we walk down and have our way with all of them instead.”

Blitz v. Armadillos

The “Fritz Ditz” wobbled their way to a Week 6 victory while the “Roadkill Warriors” eked out a dubya of their own though in the cutthroat world of the BDFL, any win is a good win no matter how ugly. Besides, the Wizard always says, “If you’re gonna’ go ugly, go ugly early. That way you get the best of the uglies.” Sage advice the Blitz would do well to heed.

Wildcats v. Gamblers

Jerry James and his “Fanged Felines” got neutered in a Week 6 beatdown that cost the Wizard in his running battle with ELVO for “prognosticatorial” supremacy of the BDFL, but the Wiz is really not that much different from the dog that goes back to lick its own vomit. Wizard’s Winners…the Wildcats.
