Wizardz Winnerz

The great and glorious Wizardo returns to the BDFL in 2026 with his weekly game progostications

Wizardz Winnerz is back for another run

MIDDLE EARTH - He's back! To the surface. The great and glorious Wizardo is returning to the BDFL to resume his thrashing of the Evil Las Vegas Oddsmakers (ELVO) with his undeniably brilliant "prognosticatory" skills during the upcoming 2026 BDFL season. ELVO and their crafty staff of number-crunchers will research and handicap the BDFL match-ups each week and publish the official lines/spreads. Then on TheBDFL.com's Wizardz Winnerz page, each weekly BDFL match-up will contain a witty blurb and prognostication from the "Great One" with two, or three, games (at the Great Wizardo's sole discretion, of course) receiving a more in-depth prognostication. The gauntlet has been thrown down. May the best man win the BDFL's 2026 Prognosticator of the Year (POTY) Award.

Week 4 - Match-Ups/Latest Lines
ARM @ FRE (-3.5) BUL @ BAN (-1.5)
BEL @ JUG (-2.5) CHE @ VUL (P)
GRE (-1.5) @ WIL   GAM @ SM (-1.5)
PS (-2.5) @ DOG MAY (-2.5) @ BLZ

Week 4 Wizardz Winnerz...

Mayors v. Blitz

Through three games Alan Arrington’s “Mystery Machine” has been piling up the points faster than Scooby snacks. Giving ELVO the perfect opportunity to bait the Wizard with a high point spread. An opportunity ELVO was too busy pattin’ himself on the back to notice after his Week Two beatdown of the Wiz, and the Wizard will happily punish him for this transgression.

Wizard’s Winner…the Mayors.

Gamblers v. Sloth Monsters

Kenny Breal’s “Dixie Dandelions” have skated through the early part of the BDFL schedule with lots of smoke ‘n mirrors but will realize the error of their ways since the “Lake Cyrus Tree Huggers” don’t much cotton to either.

Wizard’s Winner…the Sloth Monsters.

Cheetahs v. Vulcans

Nicholas Hand and the “Spock Jocks” plan to break out the “hammer ‘n sickle” to pound Butch Neal’s “Caterwaulin’ Kitties” into submission but will find their leftist leanings won’t count for much when the fur starts flyin’.

Wizard’s  Winner…the Cheetahs.

Bellcows v. Juggernauts

On the heels of an MVP caliber season and a Super Bowl, the Pats’ Drake Maye has the “Jugtown Jubilee” singin’ the blues after a miserable start to the year, and the Wizard doesn’t see Allyson’s Nauts, or Maye, changin’ that tune anytime soon.

Wizard’s Winner…the Bellcows.

PowerSleds v. Dogs

Mark Burr’s “Mangy Mutts” welcome Jack Barnes’ “Fairfield Tender Hams” to the Dawg Pound where the Sleds will learn, much to their chagrin, BDFL competition is a few notches higher than the Green Springs Friday night league on the lower field.

Wizard’s Winner…the Dogs.

Armadillos v. Freebirds

According to the Great (and Glorious) Wizardo, Kurt Prewitt’s “Texas Two Steppers” are far “more hat than cattle” when it comes to burnishing their BDFL bonafides. Something the Armadillos will find out firsthand when they step in it against Jaimie Hand’s “Poop Pumpers”.

Wizard’s Winner…the Freebirds.

Grenades v. Wildcats

Chris Hand and the “Ol’ Proverbials” pay their respects at Jerry James’ Cathouse on Sunday, and the homestanding Wildcats will await their arrival with backs arched and fangs bared. However, the Grenade’s fall offensive will march through Birmingham like Sherman did Atlanta. Leaving a swath of destruction in their wake.

Wizard’s Winner…the Grenades.

Bullets v. Bandits

The great Wizardo says all the cold beer in Texarcana and thirsty folks in Atlanta won’t do Barry’s Bandits much good since Bullet’s ”Macon County Mounties” prefer that their adult beverages come in a jar.

Wizard’s Winners…the Bullets.
