WAXAHACHIE, TX - "Shell-shocked" is a psychological term which was first used in 1916 during World War I to diagnose soldiers with combat fatigue. Noah Webster Jr's fine American publication defines "shell-shocked" as affected with battle fatigue: very confused, upset, or exhausted because of something that has happened: very shocked. Just South of Dallas near Midlothian, TX you can actually become shell-shocked by a herd of armadillos, better known as a fez, if you mess with them during their fall mating season. This is actually how and where the iconic "Don't Mess with Texas" slogan originated. In the BDFL, if you are the Western Hills Wildcats and you mess with the Ducanville Armadillos in Texas, you can get rolled out like shag carpet (54-29) and it can also leave you shell-shocked.

Throwback Week to honor the WLAF/NFL Europe

WEEK #6 - With 17 total clubs competing from 1991 to 2007, the World League of American Football (WLAF)/NFL Europe served a vital role in pro football during this era of enlightenment. The current lack of quality quarterbacking and overall QB depth in the NFL today can be traced directly to the end of this developmental league in 2007. Former Super Bowl starting QBs; Kurt Warner, Brad Johnson and Jake Delhomme all played in the league. Other NFL greats; James Harrison, William Perry, Jon Kitna, Adam Vinatieri and David Akers logged time in the league. Throwback Week 2016
