 |
TE - O.J. Howard ALA
– The Bullets take their predictible homer route and select
Howard from Alabama who should be a very productive tight end
with whoever decides to draft him in April. Can't argue with
this pick. |
|
2 |
 |
QB - Deshaun Watson CLM – The
Gamblers come from the "Best Available Athlete" old school of
drafting players and will not let Watson sit on the sidelines for long.
Plus, whichever NFL team takes Watson, they will annoint him the starter on Draft
Day. |
|
3 |
 |
RB
- Dalvin
Cook FSU – In the same slot that Ezekiel Elliott
went in last year's Pony Draft, the Wizard will not be able to
pass on the talented Tallahassee Seminole and may end up with the steal of
the Pony Draft. |
|
4 |
 |
WR
- Mike Williams CLM – The
Fritz Gritz Blitz saw the talented Williams in person in Tampa
during the CFP National Championship title game and will take
the #1 wide receiver in the 2017 BDFL Pony Draft. |
|
5 |
 |
WR -
ArDarius Stewart ALA – In a
homer pick of his own, Kawliga follows Bullet's lead and keeps
the Fultondale Flash connected to his hometown reservation as
the newest member of the Black Creek Tribe. |
|
6 |
 |
WR - Leonard Fournette LSU – The
Wildcats can be Wildcards when it comes to selecting players in
any draft. However in this spot, we see The Gang taking
Fournette since he won't be facing the Bama "D" in the NFL. |
|
7 |
 |
WR - Dede Westbrook OU – The
PowerSleds like to go off the grid in the Pony Draft and this
will be an excellent opportunity to do so. Westbrook is
explosive and should be a lethal weapon wherever he lands.
|
|
8 |
 |
RB -
D'Onta Foreman TEX –
The Sloth Monsters can be quite sneaky when it comes to the Pony
Draft and we think they will stay the course by picking the
Texas Longhorn stud, D'Onta Foreman with the #8 pick. |
|
9 |
 |
WR -
Evan Engram OM – The
Fightin' Slovaks haven't really grasped the concept of the Pony
Draft, but they usually take a stab at it nonetheless. With
their Ole Miss connection, we see the Euro Trash Talkers taking
Engram. |
|
10 |
 |
RB - Christian
McCaffrey SU – Cheetahs
are keen, savvy and quick. They realize there is a premium on
RBs in today's BDFL, so they will take the best one available in
this slot and we think it will be the athletic
McCaffrey. |
|
11 |
 |
WR - Corey Davis WMU – The
Grenadiers hit the jackpot last year with Hunter Henry in the
Pony. Look for them to keep rowing the boat and come up big
again with the super-talented Corey Davis from Western Michigan. |
|
12 |
 |
RB
- Samaje Perine OU
– The Dogs will be trying to
break their 22 year title-less streak in 2017 and it starts with
the Pony Draft. The Dogs get conservative and go with Perine,
who should be a solid producer this season. |
|
13 |
 |
RB -
Donnel
Pumphrey SDS
– The Woosiers like to
shock and awe when it comes to the Pony and this year will be no
different. Look for the Woo Crew to raise eyebrows again by
taking The Pump in the Lucky #13 slot. |
|
14 |
 |
TE - Jordan Leggett CLM
– The Mayors tend to be cool
and calculated when it comes to their Pony picks. With all
emotion aside, the Cronies will select the lanky Leggett and his
big play potential at the next level. |
|
15 |
 |
QB
- Mitch
Trubisky NC
– Picking in the 15th slot will be different than getting
Elliott with the 3rd pick last year. The Armos
use some local Charlotte, North Carolina intel to select Trubisky
from the Tar Heels. |
|
16 |
 |
QB
- DeShone Kizer ND
– The Juggernauts will still
be celebrating their first BDFL title when the Pony rolls around
in April and will not give too much thought to this pick, but we
see the Rice Rockets going for explosiveness. |
