Juggernauts get revenge in proverbial vict'ry

JUGTOWN, AL - From Don Corleone to the Klingons, everybody knows that revenge is a dish best served cold and that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Combine the two notorious proverbs and you have Week 1 of the BDFL in a nutshell. The Juggernauts avenged their heart-breaking 12-11 loss in Big Daddy Bowl XIV to the Sloth Monsters a season ago with a resounding 43-21 vict'ry in the opening week of the 2016 BDFL season. We all know revenge is more satisfying if enacted when unexpected, or long feared, inverting traditional civilized revulsion toward "cold-blooded" violence while no one is angrier than a woman who has been scorned. Revenge and scorned. A deadly combination in any situation, especially in the BDFL.

RICKA Rule in effect until Week 3 starters are due

AUDUBON PLACE - Placekicker Nick Novak/HOU is the latest player to join the BDFL through the innovative RICKA Rule. Developed in the league's formative years by BDFL Commissioner, Iron Hand, RICKA stands for Released, Injured, Cut, Kicked-Off, or Arrested. Used as a stopgap for a bad Draft Night decision, or just plain bad luck, the RICKA Rule is designed to keep the BDFL as competitive as possible during the early part of the season. This year we are up to five (5) RICKA Rule moves to date and the league has extended the deadline through Week #2 this season.
