Cat Scratch Fever
Former Tider, Mark Ingram has been a wild beast for the Western Hills Wildcats this season in the BDFL

The Wildcats inflict some pain on the Cheetahs

HIGHLAND AVENUE - Cat Scratch Fever by Ted Nugent is a hard rock classic from 1977. The song is known for its iconic opening riff which is a three-tone minor-key melody harmonized in parallel fourths. It is also the theme song of the BDFL's Southside Cheetahs. In Week 10, the BDFL's other cats, the Western Hills Wildcats, took it and turned it around and used it against them, wrecking the Sin Wagon 31-10. The win moved the BioCats further down the BDFL's Pucker Factor Poll (PFP) while escalating the Cheetahs very close to the top seat on the poll's throne. Cat-scratch fever is a real bacterial infectious disease most commonly found in children following a scratch, or bite, from a cat within about one to two weeks. The song was written and recorded by Nugent and it was his only real commercial hit. Nugent is now known for his conservative political views including his lifelong stance against drug and alcohol abuse and his advocacy of hunting and gun ownership rights. Nugent is also a board member of the National Rifle Association and a strong supporter of the Republican Party. The NFL's Carolina Panthers play the song's signature intro at each home game prior to all kickoffs and after the Panthers score a touchdown, or field goal. I just heard it on Monday Night Football, so 40 years later the song is still relevant, which says alot. In 2009, the song was named the 32nd best hard rock song of all time by VH1.

BDFL News

One last chance to improve your roster is on the way

AUDUBON - With the 2017 BDFL Supplemental Draft in the books, the league will offer one more "at large" way to improve your roster with the annual Waiver Wire Week after Week 11 games are over. Unlike the Supp Draft which runs in an orderly manner, this will be an email "free-for-all" beginning at midnight on Monday, November 20th. In other words a disorganized, or unrestricted situation, or event in which everyone may take part, especially a fight, discussion, trading market, or BDFL waiver wire transaction. Stay tuned, more to come.
