Rolling Thunder

Spurned by the league's Pony Draft, Kareem Hunt is now rolling up some loud numbers in the BDFL

The Armo Banditos roll over the Woosiers

HAYDEN, AL - Contrary to popular belief, the only armadillo species able to roll itself into a ball is the three-banded armadillo. Commonly known in Texas by the locals as the "armo bandito", it does so by folding its body in half and then tucking its head and legs into its shell. It then curls its tail beside the head and pulls it in tight. Since the top of the head and tail are armored as well, the end result is a perfectly round hard ball that can roll over their predators in battle. Most common roadside armadillos can’t do this, but the talented three-banded armo bandito which is found in abundance in the Duncanville region of Texas are well versed in this unique combat technique. For other less gifted species of armadillos that do not possess the skill to roll into a wrecking ball, they will often lay motionless to see if their predator will ignore them, a technique borrowed from their Southern brethren, the opossum. If this doesn’t work, they will try to run away, or dig a hole and hide. When threatened, some other less talented species of armadillos are known to jump straight up into the air in order to startle their predator, and then hoof it off to the nearest safe place. In contrast, the armo bandito is like most Texans, born to fight back. In the United States, some of the larger predators that the armo bandito must watch out for include mountain lions, coyotes and bears, but obviously, not snipes, skunks and Woosiers.

Plenty of quality talent still available for RICKA moves

TITLETOWN – The RICKA Rule has traditionally only been good through Week 1, but with the league's compassionate Commissioner, Iron Hand, the rule has been extended through Week 2 this season. With a record year of drop/adds already in the books, look for more RICKA moves prior to the Week 3 starter deadline. Jesse James, Mike Tolbert, Marlon Mack, Kerwynn Johnson, Tyler Ervin, Nelson Agholor, Chris Ivory, Malcolm Brown, Adam Thielen, Austin Hooper and Delanie Walker lead the list of quality talent still available.
