Grenadiers pick up where they left off last year with big week that has them grinning again in Week 1 BLACK CREEK - Proving that last year's first BDFL title was no fluke, the newly named and newly relocated Capstone Grenadiers picked up where they left off in the Big Daddy Bowl with a convincing vict'ry over Black Creek's Creek Tribe 45-21 in Week 1. The Bombardiers will be on a mission to repeat as BDFL champions this year, a task that has not happened in the balanced BDFL since the Gulf Coast Gamblers ran up consecutive titles in 1999 and 2000 some ten years ago. During the 2010 BDFL Miller Genuine Draft, the Juggernauts and Sloth Monsters both passed on RB-Chris Johnson/TEN leaving the talented running back for the Grenadiers in the #3 slot in the first round. This could be a costly move for the rest of the league since the Grenade Brigade won the title last year with a limited running game. With Johnson among the team's rank 'n file, the Grenadiers could be grinning again come BDFL title time. Johnson was the driving force of the Grenadiers ground attack |

BDFL News
BDFL scoring system explained by Commissioner Iron Hand AUDUBON - In football it is six points for a touchdown, three for a field goal, two for a safety and one for an extra point. It is the same in the BDFL with the one exception of doubling those points for a play of 50 yards, or more. How they are divided by players is the BDFL's unique twist amongst most leagues. Rushing or returned TD gives the scorer the six. A passing TD gives the QB three points and the receiver three points. Kickers get what they earn. |
