Steel Barons suppress Ironworkers

Carolina Panthers cornerback Josh Norman heads for he end zone after intercepting a pass by Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston in the first quarter Sunday. Each big play Norman makes drives up the value of his next contract.

The Steel Barons suppress the European Ironworkers from local unionization

FAIRFIELD - Once Slovakia was conquered, many Slovaks made the voyage to America for a better life. Most were miners who settled in the foothills of the Appalachians for steady work. However, when the mines closed, they turned to the steel mills where workers died in numbers far exceeding the normal mortality rates of the mines. When the immigrant Ironworkers (Fightin' Slovaks) rose up to fight the imperial capitalistic Steel Barons (PowerSleds) for safer working conditions, they were defeated royally.

Josh Norman and the Carolina defense helped the PowerSleds plow thru the Fightin' Slovaks in Week 4

BDFL News

It is way past due for the NFL to expand to two more franchises

AUDUBON PLACE - It has been 20 years since the NFL expanded. In this time, the U.S. population alone has grown more than 20% from 266m to 320m. Yet the NFL is still sitting at 32 teams. Now with franchises valued at over a billion dollars, it makes no sense why the most popular league in America has not expanded to more viable markets, where it is almost certain to be successful. You can bet poor leadership and greed have held expansion back, but with growing markets, new stadiums and more media dollars down the road, the NFL will be seriously considering expanding to 34 teams, then 36 pretty quickly to keep balanced divisions. Los Angeles and London are the early favorites to be first.
