DaBlitz assaults the Bullets in the Black Belt

SELMA, AL - An "aerial assault" is the movement of ground-based military forces by vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft to seize and hold key terrain which has not been fully secured and to directly engage enemy forces behind enemy lines. The U.S. Army field manual describes an "air assault operation" as an operation in which assault forces use the firepower and mobility of forces with total integration of aerial assets to maneuver on the battlefield under the control of an air, or ground, commander. The goal is to engage and destroy enemy forces and to hold/seize key terrain usually behind enemy lines. Aerial assault forces are usually light infantry troops who are highly dependent on aerial fire support provided by the armed aircraft accompanying them. An aerial assault should not be confused with an air attack, air strike, or air raid, which all refer to attacks using solely aircraft (bombing, strafing, etc.). Moreover, an aerial assault should not be confused with an airborne assault which occurs when paratroopers with their weapons and supplies are dropped by parachute from transport aircraft as part of a strategic offensive operation. In Week 5 of the BDFL, da Blitz used a strategic aerial assault to seek and destroy the Benton Bullets (48-22) at the "neutral site" Craig Field in Selma over the weekend. It is being viewed by da Blitz as just another paid for cupcake win for the club.

Off/Bye Weeks
NFL Bye Weeks 2022: First NFL Bye Weeks Start In Week 6

Some NFL stadiums will be empty due to their team's byes weeks coming up Weeks 6-14

When the NFL teams get to catch a break

TITLETOWN - For the record, the BDFL has never taken an off/bye week in 28 years of existence. That being said, the NFL has been giving teams one off week during the regular season for the last 32 years. In 1990, the NFL re-introduced the bye week to the schedule, which it had not had since 1966. Each team played 16 regular season games over 17 weeks for 31 years and last season the NFL went to 17 games over 18 weeks. Iron Hand, The Commissioner of the BDFL, has predicted on the record, that the next move from the NFL players union will be two bye weeks during the regular season with 17 games played over 19 weeks of games. Some call it an "off" week, others a "bye" week, I think we have gone back and forth on the name for years in the BDFK, but whatever you call it, you need to be prepared for it. The NFL bye weeks will start in Week 6 and run until Week 14. All teams will play Week 12 which I think is Thanksgiving Week, but for most of the remainder of the BDFL's regular season (through Week 15) you'll need to know which teams are off, so you won't start a player who has no chance of scoring. This is when and where a weekly starter routine can be beneficial to the health of your club. Big Brother may be watching you, but he's not changing your weekly starters. Here's a short list of the bye weeks and the teams to stay away from on their off days...
