The Gamblers go "all homer" to select Aaron Rodgers with the first pick in the 2011 BDFL Genuine Draft

OAK HILL - Change was in the hot air in Homewood at the 17th annual Genuine Draft on Saturday night as the BDFL returned to its roots for another classic night of player selections. Hosted by the gracious Gritz Blitz, the Genuine Draft was run by the league's new Chief Draft Officer (CDO) Jerome "Bullet" Hand with few glitches. The Gulf Coast Gamblers selected Aaron Rodgers from their Super Bowl scouting trip in February while the Druid City Blitz tagged Adrian Peterson with the second overall pick. With fourteen teams this year, the BDFL will go with three divisions this year and a fourteen game regular season with eight of the fourteen qualifying for post-season, if they have winning records. Each round of the playoffs will see the highest seeds taking on the lowest seeds, so the regular season finishing positions will matter come crunch time. Reluctantly, the Slovaks won the annual BDFL Spirit Stick Award for the customized t-shirt and coozie.
