A New Formula

The Dreaded Schedule Maker (DSM) has concocted a new schedule formula for the 2017 BDFL season

The 2017 BDFL Schedule has a new twist

Now with Divisional Showdown and interdivisional Grudge Match weeks

TITLETOWN, USA - The 2017 BDFL schedule will be a little different this season highlighted with three big and crucial "Divisional Showdown" weeks and 11 new inter-divisional "Grudge Match" weeks. At the same time keeping with tradition, Week 1 will feature a re-match of the most recent Big Daddy Bowl with the Ducanville Armadillos traveling to Jugtown to try and avenge last year's shocking title game beatdown from the Juggernauts while the local townspeople will still be celebrating the Rice Rockets' 2016 BDFL title at the Grand Daddy trophy presentation at the nearby Gardendale Civic Center. As usual, each of the 16 teams will play 14 different opponents during the 14-game regular season. Also, "vs." has replaced "at" to allow for neutral site games (Battle of Brookside in Week 11 and other naturals) and to help even up any home and away game schedule discrepancies. The Dreaded Schedule Maker (DSM) always catches some flack during the season, but the BDFL schedule is set way in advance of the season and even before the NFL schedule to insure there is total impartiality.
