MT. HIGH, AL - "Wild Night" is a song written by Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison and it is the opening track on his fifth studio album Tupelo Honey. It was released as a single in 1971 and reached #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Morrison has continued to perform it in concerts throughout his career and it has been recorded by many artists and bands. A new version recorded by John Mellencamp and Meshell Ndegeocello in 1994 peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was #1 in Canada for three weeks. A true Rock 'n Roll classic, it has also been recorded and sung by the likes of Martha Reeves, Polly Brown, Richie Havens, Johnny Rivers, Elvis Costello, Martina McBride and the Amazing Rhythm Aces. It is one of the Commissioner's favorite songs of all-time and it will be featured on the BDFL's "official" league soundtrack once it is produced. In Week 1, the BioCats mixed up a deadly potion on Monday Night Football to spell the Blue Deacons 43-35 to highlight a wild, high-scoring opening week to kick-off the 2021 BDFL season.

The WORM Rule

WORM: A new way to improve your team

TITLETOWN - Another change for the 2021 season will be the advent of the WORM Rule. WORM is an acronym for Weekly One Roster Move. With the new WORM Rule, each team will be allowed one "drop/add" roster move per week for the first 12 weeks of the season. After Week 12 action, the SOL Rule will apply. The WORM Rule will operate on a first come, first serve basis with all official WORM moves completed by the time the weekly starters are due. The WORM Rule is designed to help teams in desperate need, rather than to be used to stockpile, or hoard players. This rule will take the place of the older more traditional roster move rules such as the RICKA Rule, the SICKA Rule, the Supplement Draft and the Waiver Wire Week.
