Blitz
lands Richardson
In another year of the
quarterback, the Blitz go old school to take the Tide's versatile
Trent Richardson
PARTS
UNKNOWN - The naysayers will call it a homer pick, the media pundits
will question it, but after last year's weak @$$ showing, the Blitz will label it a
success to land Trent Richardson with the
first pick in the 2012 BDFL Rolling Rock Pony Draft. Many consider the
powerful and shifty Richardson to be the best all-around back to enter
the draft since LaDainian Tomlinson. Look for the Gritz Blitz to
build a strong supporting cast around the durable back out of Alabama in
the upcoming BDFL Miller Genuine Draft in late August. Other picks rounding out the one-round
of the annual Pony Draft
included Andrew Luck to the Juggernauts with the second pick
overall and Robert Griffin III to the Fightin' Slovaks with the third pick. The big
surprise of this year's draft had the Wildcats selecting Marquis Maze from
Alabama who was not on the BDFL's War Room board prior to the draft.

Richardson
should be an explosive element for the Red Barons

BDFL News

The
annual BDFL Pony Draft is all about Sleepers and Keepers
Last season the
Benton Bullets road the heavy production from their 2011 Pony Pick,
Julio Jones, all the way to the Big Daddy Bowl where they were defeated
soundly by the Fairfield PowerSleds. However, without the high pick in
the Pony and the selection of Jones, it is doubtful the Bullets would
have even been in contention for a second untainted BDFL title. Each
year the Pony draft plays a significant role in the league and it helps
to keep the BDFL unique. |
